This site is comprised by members who served in the Special Operations Forces community, survival experts, and former/current Ranger and Special Forces Instructors. Much of the information is from first hand knowledge either stateside or from overseas deployments in combat zones.
For myself, I have served in the 75th Ranger Regiment as both an NCO and later as an officer. I have also served as a Ranger Instructor at 5th RTB as a mountaineering and patrolling instructor. I have also served as a Scout Squad leader and a LRS (Long Range Surveillance) Team Leader. During my time in the Army I have always planned for survival situations in various environments from desert to arctic conditions either as part of a team and if separated, as a lone survivor. By no means does this mean we or myself are the end all experts. There are folks out there that are experts in this field and I encourage feedback and advice as there is always tactics and techniques that can be learned by others.
